Nylabone® Launches Dura™ Rope Toys

Multi-Functional, Interactive Toys Now Available to Retailers

September 1, 2011

NEPTUNE CITY, NJ – — Nylabone®, the Leader in Responsible Animal Care for Over 50 Years®, has just released 12 new Dura™ Rope Toys.  These fun, new toys for dogs combine a unique rope weave with Nylabone’s most popular chew and play materials to create multifunctional and interactive toys.

“Keeping dogs safe, occupied, and healthy is a top concern of pet parents,” says Mike Connelly, Vice President of Marketing for Nylabone® Products and parent company T.F.H. Publications, Inc., based in Neptune City, N.J.  “That’s why Nylabone® created this new line of Dura™ Rope Toys. They not only help keep your dog happy and fight boredom, they help maintain good dental health which leads to an overall healthier and happier dog.”

According to Connelly, the new toys come in three categories; Dental, Puppy and Play.

Dental Dura™ Rope Toys provide play-and-chew fun while providing effective dental benefits.  The nylon action nubs help clean teeth and reduce tartar, while the unique weave design of rope helps clean teeth during play.

Puppy Dura™ Rope Toys deliver ultimate play-and-chew fun while helping to establish the pet parent-puppy bond. The cute and colorful toys help discourage destructive chewing and help teach positive play patterns.

Play Dura™ Rope Toys deliver ultimate play-and-tug fun while promoting positive play patterns. The dual interactive benefits of chew and tug/chew and play help to fight boredom and encourage socialization.

The toys come in a variety of sizes for dogs of different weights, and are available in flavors like mint, chicken, and bacon.

“Destructive chewing is the number one reason dogs end up in shelters,” adds Connelly.  “By providing dogs with fun, safe and ‘approved’ chewables, we know that we are helping keep families together and teach canine family members positive, social, non-destructive play.”

Available in September 2011 in pet specialty stores nationwide, the suggested prices range from $6.79-$18.99.
