New, Innovative All-Natural Rawhide Chews from Nylabone® Maximize Flavor Experience and Nutrients for Dogs

Introducing: Natural TORO™ Ultra Premium Rawhide Chews with a patent–pending Tender & Juicy Middle™

Feb 2007

Neptune, NJ — February 9, 2007 – Trusted industry leader and innovator Nylabone® Products, a subsidiary of Central Garden and Pets (Nasdaq: CENT) added a new brand to its award–winning product portfolio, available only to Pet Industry retailers: Natural TORO™ Ultra Premium Rawhide Chews with a patent–pending Tender & Juicy Middle™.

With packaging and product designs reminiscent of the Old West, new TORO™ Ultra Premium Rawhide Chews feature a breakthrough taste technology containing famous Nutri Dent® flavoring. The line launch includes three uniquely–shaped products (available for small or large dogs) — Knot, Braid and Compressed Bone and a special designed puppy formula designed specifically for the needs of teething younger dogs that is made from a softer than traditional rawhide.

All come in 2 Wildly Delicious!™ flavor varieties: Wildly Delicious!™ Bacon Flavored and Wildly Delicious!™ Filet Mignon Flavored.

With added nutrients and tender–juicy middle or wrap–around panels, the new TORO™ line promises dogs a mouthful of delicious – and safe – chewing fun.

"In tests, dogs preferred the taste of TORO 3:1 over other competing specialty rawhide," said Mark E. Johnson, Executive Vice President, Nylabone/T.F.H. "We're confident this unique new line will expand sales in an already popular category for our retail partners in the pet trade."

The new Natural TORO Ultra Premium Rawhide Chews with a patent–pending Tender & Juicy Middle are available in 7 count and 18 count value packs; Puppy Rolls are available as 5 count or 12 count value packs. Floor stand and clip–strip displays are also available.
