In our 16+ years of marriage, we have adopted 6 (3 of these treasures are still with us) older, frail chihuahuas.

We do LOVE puppies and younger dogs, but, there is something special about the older treasures. Special Needs animals are wonderful companions too. We KNOW, sadly that their time with us won’t be long and that they WILL have health issues that require vet bills (we DID adopt special needs animals and expected the vet bills)……. HOWEVER, these little ones KNOW we saved them and they are FANTASTIC companions, full of love to share with us.

We have spent our “Paris Fund” on vet bills with NO REGRETS. We would do it all over again. We hope others will adopt older animals and share the love. All 10 of the reasons for adopting older animals are true.
